Mille-feuille with apple

ingredients

1 packwhole wheat puff pastry

2 peeled apples chopped into small cubes

1litre milk

4 egg yolks

1 egg

50g corn flour

220g brown sugar

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 pieces (20g) white chocolate

1 vanillin

1 tablespoon cinnamon

A pinch of icing sugar and cinnamon for the sprinkling

STEPS

Cut each puff pastry sheet in a cross (four pieces) and spread milk on top.

Sprinkle with a pinch of icing sugar and place in the oven on a pan with anti-adhesive paper for approximately 20 minutes in 190℃.

Sauté the apples with olive oil andthen add half of the sugar as well as the cinnamon. Mix well, by using a wooden spoon, until the sugar melts and the apples are caramelized. Finally, add the milk and sugar and let boil.

Mix the eggs, the rest of the sugar and the corn flour in a bowl.

Throw some of the warm milk in this mixture by continuously mixing with a whisk and then place it in the casserole along with the apples. Continue mixing until the crème becomes thick and firm.

Finally, remove from fire and add the white chocolate.

Spread some of the mixture on top of each puff pastry sheet and cover with another sheet. Repeat the procedure once again.

Finally, sprinkle with a pinch of icing sugar and cinnamon and serve.
